Sunday Snapshot {So long summer}

Last Saturday ended up being one of those days that makes one understand where the term "Carolina blue skies" came from.

warming in the sun

Ian had the chance to go to the Carolina football game with a good friend of ours.  Knowing that he loves college football and that it was going to be a beautiful day for a game, I encouraged him to go and cheer for the home team.

(Don't worry fellow Hokies, it was against Rutgers ~ can't blame him for cheering for a fellow ACC team.  Now when VT actually plays Carolina?  That's another story).

my girls, thick as thieves, sharing a chair during lunch
I considered several entertainment options for the day, but ended up going with one last hurrah at the pool.

the little guys, right now mostly "parallel players" but as neighbors only six months apart in age will soon be best buds
With our abrupt weather change ~ this Saturday we've broken out jackets, leggings and closed toe shoes ~ I think it was the best choice.

just one month apart in age, this pair often spells trouble
The water was a little chilly, but it didn't stop us from having a great time.

silly sisters
After all, what is a little chilly water when you are playing with some of your best friends?

playing rapunzel and flynn
Because as mentioned, there is water...

this may well become one of my all time favorite pictures ~ can you see how much she adores him?

...and for my crew, water = FUN!

Sunday Snapshot

Don't know what Sunday Snapshot is? Stefanie, the creator, describes it as:

"Sunday Snapshot is just a way to capture that special someone or something right now, because we all know time is fleeting... right now will be a distant memory before we know it!"
