A new day dawns

Yesterday's reality check took the wind out of my sails. But today I have a new perspective and in a way I think I'm even thankful. For it opened my eyes to how supportive the adoptive community is and gave me a chance to put my focus back on God for peace ~ which He has again provided. I know that He has our family ~ though thousands of miles separate us from Darcy right now ~ in the palm of His hand and we will be united in His perfect time.

From the bottom of my heart, thanks to each of you who commented, emailed, or called yesterday and today to help restore my focus! It means so much to know that so many are praying!

Today was a busy day with a birthday party for Kylie and Caleb's dear friend Abbey in the morning and trick-or-treating with Darby and Henry tonight. We're all flat exhausted, even if it took one of the kids a bit longer than the other to fall asleep.

Maybe it had to do with the carnage we cleaned out of his trick-or-treat bag...
I knew he was snitching from his basket as we walked, I just didn't realize how much!

More tomorrow when I have the energy to look for the best bumble bee/frog shot and a chance to lift some "jump house" birthday party pics from Abbey's mom.

Kristi,

I just now read your post about Darcy. I'm so sorry there is concern for Darcy's health. I am praying for you and Ian to peace in the waiting. And also praying for complete healing over Darcy. Lord, bring this baby home to her mommy and daddy! He CAN move mountains!!!

Just saw the post about Darcy. WOW! Very cool you got the info and photos on her...

Sorry to hear about the possible complications.. All I know for sure is that the Lord is holding her and when she does come home she is going to have such a wonderful family... praying that is sooner than later.

Isn't it amazing how God always helps us see things in his perspective even after our hearts are so heavy? Whenever we are weak, He carries us. I am glad you had a good day yesterday and I am looking forward to seeing pictures! Thinking of you always - hope the kids got their cards from Matthew!

Kristi,

Just catching up on blogs. It's been kind of crazy here. Know that I'm praying for you, Ian and Darcy. You know that God has orchestrated this entire adoption. Rest peacefully in that knowledge.

Love ya,
Tricia
