Guess where we went ~ again...

Today the snow was still around but what was there was crunchy and no good for scooping with shovels and play kitchen utensils, so I asked Kylie her favorite question to ask me, "Hmm, what should we do today?" She answered with, "Let's go to the play place!" and I figured that since it is free to us now we may as well!

No, I won't take my camera there every time we go, but since my grandfather (whose Christmas money for the kids paid for our membership) doesn't have a computer, I figured that I'd try to get pictures of the kids at each of the stations and make him a little album of how much they are enjoying their Christmas gift. I've gotten most of the areas now, so the pictures of our museum will probably stop soon ~ but I make no promises...

The first time we were there this car racing station totally captivated Caleb. This time it was Kylie who was enthralled with racing the cars down the ramp herself. This was the only time she beat the car down due to faulty engineering (see the twisted tire) from whoever made it. She ran again and again and again ~ sweet nap later!
What mom isn't thrilled when her kids work together? Thank goodness for an abundant supply of Lego's!
Dr. Kylie reads the scan from one of the preemie babies in the incubator while her assistant Caleb scatters the rest of the X-rays.
"Can we have a barn stall with piggies Mommy?"
My future mail delivery people.

Sadly our time at the museum ended abruptly after this picture was taken. (I had a feeling in the back of my mind that the harmony had lasted a little too long). As I walked around the front of the mail truck to try and get a close up of Kylie driving, Caleb decided it was his turn to drive and when his sister didn't move, he bit her ~ HARD ~ on the pinky finger. At least there were no workers around to witness the ungraceful beginning to our exit...

(Plenty of other moms saw, but a quick glance of their admission stickers showed that they weren't members, so I probably won't see them again ~ THANK GOODNESS!)

Luckily for me, by the time we got to the coat rack peace had been restored. I don't know why or how, but man was I thankful. I wasn't too excited about dragging the two of them down the street to the car. You just never know when the madness will start ~ or end! A snack of grapes and goldfish in the car satisfied hungry bellies and both were snoozing by the time we got home. Post nap brought happy playing until the bewitching hour when we experienced more RAV (Random Acts of Violence ~ not pretty, but I'm keeping it real here...). Thankfully that spell also ended randomly.

One a "happy kids getting along" note, they have been spending so much time in the Tupperware cabinet over the past few days that I've installed a little "stick & click" light in the back of it. Now I don't have to hear screams when one is inside and the other is outside holding the door shut. There are just giggles as whoever is inside the cabinet hits the side of the cabinet and turns on the light, then whoever was inside gets out and they switch places. Good times, good times...

Oh my! Hope Kylie's pinkie is ok! Its been a long time since I've had little ones close in age like that. They are older now and know better(sometimes!). But I remember having to break up little spats between Natalie and Ridge. Keeps you on your toes, huh? P.S. I love the first picture of Kylie running. She looks so happy!

Geezz...biting..ouch! I remember fighting w/ my sisters quite a bit at one point in our lives! I have to say I love the idea of the membershp being a gift.. I may ask for that for Anne Marie's b-day when people want ideas!!

I have to admit that talking to you on the phone yesterday afternoon brought back some memories...some not in the far too distant past. :) When I went in to pick up Andrew he had another child pinned to the fence and was telling the child to never kick him again--in NO uncertain terms. I wasn't sure whether to cheer or gasp.

Poor Kylie...I hope she's not too heart broken. At least it was over fast.
I love the picture! And great idea with the light!

Yes, you will. Because the one time you don't take your camera you will miss THE shot. You will kick yourself all day for NOT bringing your camera. And then you will tote the darn thing forever and always. The end.

Remind me to tell you about my new camera strap that is the current love of my life. It is not only cute and stylish, it "wears" so much better. I wish I would have had it in China...and Disney...and DC...
