Well, it was bound to happen! Our little jeans pocket sized Sony that I've loved for its compactness struggled to hold on through the abuse that Ian and I gave it for the past 21 months. It's been beaten in bags, my purse, and our pockets and managed to hang on. Then Kylie started giving it lots of "special attention" and it still managed to work. Add Caleb to the mix and I think it got dropped one too many times...
It still works, but is stuck in video mode and so still shots are unavailable to me right now. (Too bad because I don't think anyone wants to see video of the SNOWFALL we had this morning ~ it's the only way I could record it). Luckily the camera worked when we needed it most and now I'm really trying to work my angles to get a Canon Rebel for Christmas. Maybe now I'll get it a little early? Anyway, we'll see if we can get our trusty little friend repaired. Until that happens, or we get a new one, I'll have to rely on some pictures that haven't surfaced on Fireworks and Fireflies yet. That isn't too hard seeings that last week I was much too overwhelmed to be posting regularly...
A few fun ones of the kiddos together last Monday (our first full day in the new house together)
We walked to the neighborhood park ~ I LOVE walking to a playground! ~ and enjoyed the sunshine. Kylie led the way and showed Caleb all the fun things about the slides!
Fast forward to last night. All four of us were sitting on the kitchen floor waiting for some cookies to finish baking. I was sitting "criss-cross applesauce" and Kylie was sitting in the hollow of my legs. Caleb came over and sat on my right leg beside her. She grinned at Ian and I and said, "We a big fam-ah-lee! I LUHV my fam-ah-lee!" And then she turned to me and said, "Mommy, we need another one baby to sit on dis leg!"
One day kiddo, just let Daddy and I feel like the dust has settled a bit on our crazy life before we start again...

OH I have been there, it stinks to not be able to take pics of your adorable children, I will miss seeing them too. I hope this all gets worked out soon, not just for your sake :)
Kristi,
So happy for you guys that you are settling into somewhat of a routine. I enjoyed following you to China, and Caleb is just a doll. Enjoy your TWO bundles!!
In Him,
Carla
Sounds like they are keeping your hands full! Glad Ian is home now.
Hope your camera get's feeling better!
Love Aunt Cici
Oh what a sweet story about having another baby to fill your lap!!! Ok -- I'm telling you -- work hard for that new camera -- they are GREAT!!! (If people read our stories, they'd think we planned the destruction of our cameras -haaa haaa)
I love her comment about "dis leg"! Isn't is awesome how our kids get to participate in the adoption process and although they have to share mommy and daddy, they still want more siblings!!
Oh no! A broken camera! That is terrible. I couldn't deal. If you have a questions about getting a new one, shoot me an email (I was a photo major in college and a medical photographer for many years!).
Dis leg .... love it! (I think five is a good number, ha) Sorry to hear about the camera but I so know how that "extra attention" seems to wear things out quicker. I love the stories of the kids, keep em coming, it makes me feel like my house is normal! :) And about that trip to the midwest ... we'd love to see you guys!
All I have to say is you'd better not go without me next time...
;-)
Ooh, a Canon Rebel, Santa's being really good to you this year! :) You know how I love mine. It makes all the difference in the world.
And speaking of Santa? Is Santa going to come shopping for boy toys in my garage?
A third child? Just wait for that. One sits on your lap, one on one side, one on the other, you get all snuggled in and then guess who has to go potty? Mommy! Ha!
