Somehow the ridiculousness of the moment makes it that much sweeter! Kylie walked into the laundry room with me, saw her new bathing suit for the summer, and wanted to try it on. Then she noticed the "inside rice" and wanted to play with it but Survivor was getting ready to start so instead of playing in the kitchen, we spread a blanket and cooked up some rice in the living room. Both Kylie and duckie got to taste it. Duckie liked it, Kylie ~ not so much. Why did we sit around with Kylie in her bathing suit, playing with her mini-kitchen set and rice on the living room floor on a cool night in March? I guess the best reason is "Why not?"

that's a great idea. I never thought of using rice for Maddy to play with inside like sand. :0) We'll definitely have to give that a try.
That is so funny. I guess seasons and reason has no impact on a two year old... or a two years olds Mommy! Way to be flexible!
