Why do we bother to buy toys?

...when sticks ~ that are FREE! ~ will do just fine!

Thursday when I got home from preschool we sat for almost 45 minutes on the bottom step off the deck and Kylie broke sticks, one after another. When her pile was gone she'd grin at me and say, "Mah pese," and since she asked so politely I'd go find her another handful...

Oh yeah, I had several things I needed to do, but the giggles are so much more important!

So funny you say this because Maddy doesn't have very many toys right now. I think our neighbor feels sorry for her is always sending "stuff" over for her to have. I appreciate it very much but honestly.. I know from experience that you don't need a lot of toys to have fun. Things around the house do just fine. :0) My grand daughter who is the same age as Maddy must have everything under the sun. She has so many toys she doesn't know what to play with and is always BORED.. I be she has 30 something baby dolls if not more than that. What is a girl to do with 30 babies I tell you??!! Maddy has three and two of them were hand me downs. She really only plays with one and that suits us fine :0)

GOOD GRAVY, that girl is tall! Like I need to tell YOU that! Caroline is pretty doggoned tall, now, too! Ahhhh, where did our babies go? Happy Great Wall Walkin' - Super Bowl Sunday - Gotcha Monday! Wish you and all our other Guangdong families could join us for a rollicking celebration dinner tonight...but we'll just postpone that until this summer!

Love to all!
