The Toddler mind in action

We had a low key day today. Kylie woke up super snuggly and after our morning hugs we played in her room, ate breakfast, played in the rice table, danced to some kiddie music, watched the 3 month video of her friends, unloaded the dishwasher, and got lunch ready. While I was fixing lunch, Kylie grabbed her step stool and chapstick and did some experimentation with sound.

"Let's see, my chapstick makes a ding on this pot lid..."

"...and a thud on this canister. Interesting!"

And she stood there for some five minutes testing and retesting each sound she got. I love her inquisitive little mind! Then it was lunch, a nap (which I spent today working on my China scrapbook), and our weekly trip to grab some groceries. Not every day is stellar in its excitement level, but these are sweet days none-the-less!

Some cute pictures to share from the past few days...

My sweetie "helping" (and by helping I mean taking silverware out of the drawer) while I unloaded the dishwasher.

Kylie with friends Susannah and Katherine at the beginning of our turnip gleaning mission.

Kylie finally "woke up" as we were loading the turnips into trucks. Oh well, it's never too late to help!

"New jammies and chapstick ~ what could make a girl happier?"

More cute jammies! LOVE them! I bought Allison a few w/footies, but she took one look at them and said, "I don't want to wear those- my feet need to be free!" ha! :)

Perhaps she'll be a musician - already testing notes! Love that you two are setting an example for her as you glean for the less fortunate. It is so Biblical! It will become second nature for her to become one of God's servants.
