Some of our blessings...

This morning we piled into the Highlander for another trip to Raleigh. Ian and I laughed as we got stuck in traffic tonight on the way home that despite the fact we were "staying home" for Thanksgiving this year that we still managed to get caught in travel congestion on I85. We spent about 6 hours total in the car to arrive home in time for bed...

But instead of getting frustrated in traffic grid-lock, I thought about some of the blessings related to the trip that could so easily be overlooked!

*We have a reliable car to drive and enough "discretionary money" in our budget to buy an extra tank of gas and the meals out today...
*We have dear friends that invited us to make the trip...
*We were gathering because of the little girl "dancing" in her car seat to Silly Songs with Larry behind us...

Yeah, the road trip to see some of our China family was TOTALLY worth it!!!

Kristin, Kylie, Lottie, Darby
"Okay girls, let's get a good photo here ~ I've gotta finish my pickles!"

"I miss you Kristin, please come visit me again soon!"
**Kylie and Kristin were roommates at Lianjiang SWI

"See you next time we're in Raleigh Lottie!"

"Darby, you are my super cool older friend! I can't believe you can drive ~ let's go on a joy ride!"
