'ello gov'na

Since we've lived in the area, I bet we've driven by the Executive Mansion at least a hundred times.  And many of those times I've found myself curious what the inside was like.

Today I got my chance to find out...


One weekend a year our state government opens the first floor of the home to the public.


Docents were scattered about and we learned many interesting facts about the working home of our state's "first family."


But most importantly, we got to peek at the entertaining rooms...


...and admire the giant Christmas trees that adorned them.


And just so we don't forget, as we were standing in the entrance area, one of the kids looked over and said, "Is the guy in the grey suit important or something?  Lots of people are shaking his hand."

A quick glance proved them right, "Um. Yeah kiddo.  That would be the governor..."
