Today was the hop on/hop off trolley tour that got us from place to place in historic Boston. We stopped back at Boston Common to see Make Way for Ducklings,
even the ducklings are in on Bruins fever...tonight is the first match in the series for the Stanley Cup |
walked past the oldest continuous restaurant in America,
So claimed "Oldest Continuous Restaurant" in America. My dad had tipped me on this one and I ate there back in 1992 when I was on a history study tour with Elon. |
admired the outside of Paul Revere's house,
the Paul Revere house...we didn't actually go in, but did a walk by... |
checked out the Old North Church,
Quick family selfie with Paul Revere on Brown Beauty and the Old North Church in the background. |
snagged at cannoli at Mike's Pastry,
A little lunch dessert.
(cannoli in Little Italy takes it up a notch!)
hob nobbed with a few well known folks at Dreamland Wax Musuem,
Just hanging with one of our favorite museum curators... |
This one is for Daniel who LOVES the I AM Albert Einstein book. |
strolled the waterfront of the harbor,
Enjoying a stroll along the waterfront on a BEAUTIFUL day! |
ended with dinner in the North End (Little Italy) and *may* have capped the day with a cannoli from Modern Pastry. I mean, there seems to be a competition so we figured we'd compare!
And dessert to go...
We were told that it is a constant competition between Mikes and Modern on who is for the tourists and who is for the locals. I figured the only way to know is to test cannoli from both in one day!
Keeping busy to keep our minds off tomorrow...
