Wilmington with Kylie

Quick stops to the USS North Carolina, Fort Fisher Aquarium, and Fort Fisher State Recreation Area.
And two times sitting on the side of I-40 for disabled buses, but we'll focus on the better parts of the day.

K-Boo and I spent a rainy day today in Wilmington together (along with most of the 4th grade from her school).

The USS Carolina was our first stop.

From there it was on to the Fort Fisher Aquarium to explore and listen to a "turtle talk."

Ky's excitement wasn't at an all time high here, but part of that was likely due to the fact we had just visited a few weeks before.

To finish the day we listened in on a "turtle talk" and then went out to the beach.  The overcast weather kept it cool, but that didn't stop several of the kids from pushing the limits on staying out of the water.  There were several who dug holes near the surf so they could get wet without breaking the rule of not getting into the waves.

It was a long day by the time there were several bus issues, but it was one we enjoyed!
