At dinner one of the kids asked Ian why he twisted the bread wrapper before he put the twist tie on it...
Ian ~ "So you can get the twist tie on nice and tight to keep the bread from getting stale."
Me ~ "As if bread ever has time to get stale in this house."
Ian ~ "True...but when I was a kid, a gallon of milk would spoil and bread would get stale." (referencing growing up as an only child)
Me ~ "Yeah, but that doesn't happen here."
Child who shall remain nameless~ "Oh, yes. Because now we have refrigerators..."
(insert wild laughter)
