on being "bellied"

Following a discussion about birthdays and Gotcha Day traditions around our dinner table tonight, one child suggested that on my Gotcha Day I get both a night off of cooking and a date night with Daddy.  


I smiled, said it was a generous offer, and gently reminded said child that I didn't have a Gotcha Day.

Says child, "Oh yeah, that's right. You were bellied!"
