Sunday Snapshot {Grandma was here}

For the past three years I've lived about 150 miles away from my mom.  When we first moved here, my mom was the doting grandmother of one.

That was 35 months and three kids ago...

Now that I have four kids ages five and younger, it feels about 145 miles too many.

This past weekend though, Mama (or Grandma ~ depending on who was talking) was here.

We always love it when she comes to visit and this time was no exception.  Games were played, books were read, meals were enjoyed, and hugs were doled out with reckless abandon.

All too soon though, it was time for her to go back to the responsibilities awaiting her at home.

We sure were sad to see her go.  We always are.

She did leave her mark though.  You know how some people scroll graffiti to make sure others knew they had visited?  Mom does too.  Just not in pen.  Look at my kids faces.

Those smiles say, "Grandma was here..."

Come back soon Grandma ~ we'll leave a light on for you!

Sunday Snapshot

Don't know what Sunday Snapshot is? Stefanie, the creator, describes it as:

"Sunday Snapshot is just a way to capture that special someone or something right now, because we all know time is fleeting... right now will be a distant memory before we know it!"

I so get this...I hate living so far from my parents, even though we are in a very good place for us right now. It's just hard.

Visits with grandmothers are always a great time! I know Josh's kids are having a great time being here this weekend! They love the special kind of attention only a grandmother gives!

Now you have me crying! What a blessing to have my four precious ones in Raleigh and two here in Midland. I would move Raleigh closer to Midland if I could. That would be amazing!

I'm so thankful for your blog because it keeps me up-to-date on a regular basis.

Love you Kylie, Caleb, Darcy, Daniel, Ian and Kristi!

How blessed your children are to have such a loving Granny. I so wish that my kids had Grand Parents.

BTW-Do you Homeschool?

I am caught between furious and joy concerning our public school that our Asian adopted daughter is in (see post)

I am not clear on how homeschooling works or if it would be better for our daughter at this point. Blessings-Joy
