Hot doughnuts now ~ take 2

And today we made our second doughnut run.  Tonight's half birthday girl couldn't even be bothered with the "and here's what we selected picture."

Oh no, she was way to focused for that.  Gotta get that fresh doughnut into your mouth before it cools off too much you know...

...or else it loses a little of "its magic."  And judging from her expression, there was magic tonight.

At 5 1/2 she seems so much older and sophisticated than she did just a few weeks ago.  But even sophisticated 5 1/2 year olds lose composure and have to lick their fingers when it comes to doughnut glaze.  Cause goodness knows you don't want to waste that on a napkin!

Thankfully we also see her little girl side when she gets tickled at her own jokes or mistakes.  Like when she was telling us that she wanted to go to the doughnut store that didn't have doughnuts (instead of the one that didn't have ice cream).  When she realized what she had said, she giggled, repeated herself, laughed, repeated herself again, and then nearly fell off her chair in a major chuckle fest.

Thanks again for having a half birthday big girl!

We all enjoyed our second night of doughnuts in a row.

Now someone explain to the little one that we won't be back until his half birthday at the end of February.

I don't think he's gonna like it too much...

Love your little tradition! My kids don't know what a hot doughnut is... I'm thinking I might need to introduce that sometime soon! :) Darling pictures, as usual!
