a great time by all! As staff training for Carolina Cross Connection was approaching, Ian began to search for ways to entertain our "personal preschool" + their two cousins. When he first started about wanting to take a trip to Home Depot to buy a bunch of PVC pipe and connectors I'll admit that I was skeptical.
And then the day before we left, when he spent a couple of hours cutting said pipes, and drilling holes in several of them and in the end caps, I had my doubts.
I should have known better. My hubby comes up with some pretty creative, pretty awesomely fun ideas. As his latest creation, I present to you a "do it yourself" sprinkler system that the kids could change around and add to at will. They had a blast. Even (or should I say especially) the 36 year old...
My mom's grandkids in order from oldest to youngest...
Pierson ~ 5. Clever little bugger. Totally sweet, and totally rotten, all at the same time. Always willing to give a hug.
Maylin ~ 4 1/2 Truly meant to be part of our family as she redefines "woman with a strong will." Knows what she wants, and a TOTAL Daddy's girl. Love her!
Kylie ~ 4 Always wants to help. Has an infectious laugh. This may be the summer she learns to swim because suddenly she isn't afraid to have her face wet.
Caleb ~ 3 1/2 Momma's boy. And you'll find his face in Webster's under mischievous...
Darcy ~ 3 Blowing us all away with her switch in languages. Redefines the word compliant. And the word sassy...
Together they are one fun bunch. It was a grand five days!!!

too stinkin cute! Oh my gosh - your niece and nephew look terrific - one would never guess it's been such a short while. Tell Ian that he is fantastic - that system defies imagination and ingenuity and shows his brilliant mind and even better, what a great dad he is. So funny about Kylie - Indigo has just, in the past couple of weeks, been willing to hold her nose and put her mouth, nose, and almost eyes in the water. Very cute post, and just moments after I posted my long rambling comments on the post before. Melanie
LOVE the DIY PVC sprinkler idea! We are going to HAVE to do this!
That is that coolest Sprinkler ever! I know the kids had a blast and what a good looking crew of kiddos:)
Wow! That's one amazing sprinkler!!

I'm thinking Mickey NEEDS one of these sets. And I'm thinking Jon might just have as much fun as Ian. That Ian...brilliant!!! Miss you guys!
Those are great pics!!!!
The adults had just as much fun watching!
These five have my heart
What a fun idea!! Such beautiful kiddos!!
Ian is very creative!
You have captured each one, Kristi, with your pictures and comments. That PVC piping was a master piece. So much squealing and laughter! They also had good team work. If once part fell, they would all try to fix it. Nice memory.
