Easter weekend {part 2 ~ Sunday}

(Trying to get caught up from this week, Easter part 1 is below.  Still working on a post about sitting in the waiting chair on Wednesday and how things have gone since we've been home.  I learned a lot about myself, my faith, and my God in the process.  Keep checking back...)

Easter is by far my favorite holiday.  It has been for years now.  The reminder that Christ made a choice to bear my sin, suffered on the cross, and then was victorious over death fills my soul with joy.

My mom has always loved it too.  And this year I suspect that if it is possible, she loved it even more than ever.  Because for the very first time she had all five of her grandkids in one pew at church, three of whom arrived in the US within the past month.

She was glowing...

And while the kids didn't necessarily cooperate too much, we got some new family pictures too

Not sure where Darcy is headed, note Caleb's "Napoleon impression", and just what is Kylie doing?
Fabulous of both Traci and Adam, but perhaps the word we thought was Mandarin for smile is actually in Darcy's dialect.  Because Maylin and Pierson certainly don't seem to get it...
And of course we attempted a few with all five kids.  Kylie and Pierson got the idea, maybe they can work with their younger siblings on cooperating for the camera before we all get together again.

The rest of the day we just relaxed, many of us outside, but those with allergies avoided the pollen inside.  It was a wonderful weekend and we hated for it to end so quickly.

Hi Kristi, trying to play blog catch up AGAIN and realized why God has put you on my heart lately. I've been praying for you often the last few days and have had little computer time to check in on you :( I'm glad to see that Darcy's surgery is over and that all seems to be going well. I'll be checking back for sure...

Your Easter pictures and new niece & nephew are adorable!!! You're mom must be thrilled!!!

Beautiful pictures of beautiful children. How blessed you are to have gotten to share this journey of adoption with your sister. I love the one of the 5 kids.

I think the picture with the five of them is absolutely precious!!!!! Again...I believe the Lord was smiling on His day as the five of those precious kids sat in church together..brought into one family by adoption which is what His redemption story is based on!!!! Just finished supper tonight...Mark and Jordan were gone but Hudson said "three spots are empty, Jordan, daddy and Anja"...we talk often of Anja and he has always said "NO"...maybe this is the beginning????? (and hopefully it will follow the lines of Kylie's prophetic conversation..)

Oh. My. Goodness. They are gorgeous together! I have had such a hard time catching up with everyone these days and I feel like I'm missing so much. I have thought of you often and pray for you when I do. I can't wait for a report on Darcy...such a sweet spirit! I'm glad to see that her surgery has gone well. You're mom must be beside herself!
