Hey Mom-mie. Yook at my bew-ye! It big.
At almost every meal he (when he gets to the stuff he doesn't like so much) he'll say, "I all done. I no want my bew-ye to get big." with his little impish smile on his face. But when I remind him that he can't have more cauliflower until he finishes his chicken he'll happily scarf it down.
**Yes, I wrote that correctly. I bribe him at meal time with a white vegetable. His very favorite food in the entire world is oven roasted cauliflower. He asked for it every day in China. Every. Day! Please let me continue to be in blissful ignorance if cauliflower has no nutritional value...**
"Yook at my bew-ye now! It REALLY big!"
And throughout the day I constantly hear about his belly and how it pokes out. It sounds a lot like, "Hey Mom-mie. Yook at my bew-ye poke out!"
Sure kid, you are three and a half years old and only in 2T because your legs are too long for smaller sizes. I've got those adjustable pants cinched as tight as they go. I don't want to hear about your belly poking out...
The infamous "big belly" face.
We think his new obsession has something to do with one of our dear friends who is expecting twins in August. Whatever the reason, we also find it hilarious. Just another reason I'm crazy about this kid...

What??? Can't have more CAULIFLOWER??? I hope you are counting your blessings on that one! :)
I can honestly say that, unfortunately, that is something I've never had to say to one of my kids :)
I love age 3 and I miss it. Please wake me when age 2 is over. ;-)
Oh my gosh he is too cute! Love it. And yes, I have been spending some time with my photoshop, ha!
My little boy would rather eat veggies than most anything else. We fed him mostly brocolli in China. So lucky to have a veggie eater, but getting sick of my 3 yr. old wearing the 18mos pants that look like he's ready for a flood!
That is hilarious!!! Love it! I can't wait to hear Noah saying things!
He is the cutest thing ever! Yeah right his belly is so big!! Too funny!
Oh Caleb, you are such a sweetie. You are cute beyond words. As active as he is, he has no worries over big bellies.
Caleb, you are getting to be such a big boy. I like you in your Elmo sweatshirt. I get to look at you and Kylie in your Elmo sweatshirts every day on the American World calendar. It is so neat to have two of my precious grandchildren in that calendar.
I love you,
LaoLao
Hey, Caleb - my bew-ye is REALLY big and you'll never be able to catch up with me! =) I just keep hoping they never ask me how the babies got in there.
And I need to find out how you roast cauliflower. I tried it while y'all were in China and I didn't do it correctly - put too much garlic on it.
Let's not ever let Caleb see my bew-ye...
Just checked in on your sister...when do they get the kids? I am thinking the 23? Is that right? Praying for them and the littles and for a wonderful transition for all...(she really looks like you!!)
Please do NOT look at my belly. It really big. :( Ha!
