...of the "mini-van Mamas!"
Yesterday morning I went from driving this
Hello new (to me) Sienna! It's a 2005 with about 80,000 miles. We should still have over 100,000 to go!
with a few signatures, the turn over of keys, and a check written.
The kids think it is grand adventure and just can't wait to get in. And if I'm going to be honest, I rather like it too. It's comfy, quiet, and smooth!
Last night they begged to go for a ride after dinner. I asked where and Kylie said, "We don't care, we just want to ride in our new "Mickey van!" (And I have no idea why it is called a Mickey van...)
Wonder how long this seat configuration will last?Kylie insisted on sitting in the "waaaayy back" and of course Caleb just had to be beside her. I'm sure we'll change up several times before we settle on something.
So a mini-van with skis on top doesn't have the same "coolness factor" as a Highlander. When I stop and think about it, our family expansion has a much higher "coolness factor" than skis could ever give me anyway.A Toyota Sienna ~ it's how we roll now! And a good thing too, our Article 5 was signed in China while we slept last night. Still a chance, a SLIM CHANCE, (but a chance none-the-less) that we could be on our way later this month. We're praying...

Even though I refuse to go to the dark side (van ownership!), it does look like a REALLY comfy and smooth ride. I'm sure it will give you YEARS of enjoyment! And there's room for another couple seats in there, right? :)
(I think this is the first time I commented) We too have a Highlander, who knew it wouldn't hold 3 carseats??? I guess we'll be upgrading eventually too.
Congrats on the mini van and Article 5!
Julie
Pretty Fancy! and I can't help but smile seeing that 3rd car seat! I know you can't wait till it is filled. Congrats on crossing over to the "mickey van" club.
Woo hoo! Congrats on the Mickey van! I'm excited but I can't wait to see that third car seat FILLED! And you are right, the coolness factor is much higher with the next child!
Nice! I like the color. Not what I pictured when you said "gold"! I love the picture of the kids grinning by the door they look giddy! That is so cute. You are making me envious! I think I need a Mickey van.
And woo hoo! on the article 5... but maybe if you don't go before the Chinese New Year we still have a snowball's chance of meeting up in Hong Kong! Wouldn't that be awesome!!!

We bought our van right after getting our first child. At the time we had hopes of filling it up fast... but alas, that back bench seat is usually stowed and mounds of *stuff* piled in the back. The up side is that if it gets really cold camping, you can put all your gear in your tent and sleep like sardines in the van. ;-)
Oh Yay! Another Lifeline family! I knew there were several of us that got LOA's together..we found out about our article 5 today too! :) Looks like you, Vicki, and I will meet up in GZ, maybe?

You have a beautiful family and congrats on the van! Our van is a 15 pass. van. Talk about HEFTY!
Blessings,
Laine Ferrill
Congrats!!
Praying for slim chances!!
Welcome to the club!
So much happening so fast - wonderful. Excited about the Article 5 - I'm praying for a quick trip. The van looks great and the kids are SOOO cute in the 'waaaaaay' back!!!! It will be so great to see Darcy in there with them. Yaahhhh!!!
Love, NaiNai M
Whoooo Hooooo!!!!!
Welcome to the club. Your membership card is in the mail.
Okay, I lie. I would never be allowed to be in charge of mailing ANYTHING.
I wouldn't DREAM of driving anything smaller with more than two kids. I would lose. my. mind. And Andrea's right. It fills up fast. But, then, you've seen my van. I should get a medal for all the stuff I can stuff in a van. And a medal for how much luggage I can travel with, right?
Congrats! I like it! I can't believe how clean it looks! If it still looks that clean when I see you, I might have a problem with that. And I'll be packing Pringles. :-)
Congratulations! on paperwork moving and the new van. Just a TA is all you need now!
We have been in the "mini van" for a while now, but now we need to upgrade!
We just haven't yet, but we don't all fit in our little ole van, so we will be moving to a 12 passenger van!
Funny that I think the mini van is just plane ole little now!!!
What a cool looking mickey van... I am praying you get your TA soon...
Yeah Kristi, And I think adding to your family is way cooler than a Highlander! I can't wait to travel with you and Laine whenever it is!!! Congratulatiions!

I have 186,000+ miles on my Odyssey and it's still rolling. I think you're gonna love having a van. I can't imagine those early years with 3 kids and something smaller than a van. Traci said it's gold? It looks gray on my screen. :)
Congrats on the Article 5 too.
Love the "Mickey Van", Darcy is going to look wonderful riding around in there with you guys! :)
Love the minivan! That is exciting that your paperwork seems to be moving so fast all of a sudden! Good luck with everything!
Hey, nothing cooler than three beautiful kids in a family vehicle!!! SO excited your article 5 was signed!!!!
YAY! Very nice!! You're going to love it here on the other side;-)
I've been fighting to join the mini-van mom's club! Still, I hope I win the battle once we are home and get to still keep my 4 runner! We'll see when the first car trip happens!
So happy that you are moving along the line. Still hopping we can meet in GZ soon!
Look at those THREE car seats comfy in there, yeah! Welcome to the "club", ha! :) Can't wait to see Miss Darcy sitting in there with her siblings! Congrats.
OK...that is too funny. We drive the EXACT same mini-van (color, year, and all). Only yours is MUCH cleaner than mine at the moment. :)
LOVE the "Mickey Van" :-) Praying for speedy travel.
Can't wait to see Travel dates posted...
Love, Kasie
Looks like a sweet ride to me!
