Princesses and mechanics

Monday Kylie, Caleb and I were joined for a few hours by Abbey and Elijah while their mom had a few "it's easier without kids" tasks to complete. Immediately the girls headed to Kylie's room to dress up and the boys headed to Caleb's room to drag every car Caleb owns into the living room. Every car. And he has a lot!

Time spent in the dress-up trunk to be Cinderella and then adding additional bling.

"So I think that my engine problem is isolated here, what do you think mechanic Caleb?"
Oh, and please overlook the fact that my son is still in his pajamas. It was a stay at home day and he opted to keep them on until after nap...

Not saying of course that just because the girls paired off to play together meant that they spent all their time as princesses. They actually spent more time driving cars "across town" than the boys.
We had a lot of fun and I learned that, with the exception of trying to put four kids under age four down for a nap, four isn't that much different than two. Good to know, good to know...

***Oh, and I have to say that I've been completely blown away by the number of you who have sent me recipes! I can't wait to test them all, but I don't think I have enough time, even if we don't travel until after CNY. It will be fun trying though. You guys rock! Thanks for answering my plea for help. I still owe a few of you a recipe swap, and one day soon I'll find the time to type up my tried and true favorites that freeze. At least I hope I will...***

Oh how I do love the differences between boys and girls. It's just so fun to watch on a daily basis. I bet the day gave you a taste of what's to come- how fun! :)

Yay for PJ days! We do that sometimes too! Glad the "trial run" of 4 under 4 napping went well.

Hi Kristi! So nice to 'meet' you! :) You have a beautiful family, and clearly a beautiful heart for ophans. As you know, it is a cause near and dear to my heart, as well! I can't wait to follow along as you travel to bring your ADORABLE Darcy home! I look forward to perusing through your blog later and getting to know more about your family. Thanks for stopping by for a visit today. Who is the little boy at NDFH that you know of...is it by chance little Kevin? I love all of the kiddos that reside there and it is such a joy seeing them united with their forever families.

Have a nice weekend and God bless!

Kristi, you were an angel on Monday. While I spent 2 plus hours in the Soc. Security office, I had visions of you pulling your hair out. It's a comfort to know that you not only survived, but were able to take pictures. If they had been with me, me and the other million people waiting would have been pulling our hair out! My kids love you and your kids. I can't say thank you enough!
