She's on our minds...

...all the time! Not a day goes by without at least one mention of our missing family member. Take the kids today for example.

Tonight at dinner Kylie suddenly frowned and announced she was sad. Ian questioned why and she responded, "I'm sad because I miss Darcy!" No sooner had Ian started to say that we all were anxious to have her home and Ky suddenly smiles and announces that she's happy. Ian was perplexed until she explained, "I'm happy because I love Darcy!"

As I was tucking Caleb into bed tonight it came time for prayers. I asked him what he wanted to thank Jesus for today and he smiled and said, "Mommy...Daddy...Maya...Tai-O" (I think the twinkle in his eye as he smiled had a lot to do with his self-recognized mischief that he was putting the dog in front of his sister). And then when I asked what he wanted to ask Jesus to help with, he got a very serious look on his face and said, "Dar-hee." I asked what he wanted to pray about for Darcy and he looked me straight in the eye and said, "Dar-hee come HOME!"

So I like to think that in this picture that they were trying to figure out how to cross that expanse of water to get to their little sister.

By the way, no word from the other side of the world yet. I really do have faith that Darcy and her foster family are fine. That being said, it sure will be good to have it in writing! In other Darcy news though, Ian and I were fingerprinted for our USCIS approval today. We're closing in on finishing the "paper chase!"

Hi Kristi, Thanks for your note.

I have to admit that I lurk on your blog too, but I don't know if I've ever commented! Sorry!

I hope and pray you get good news VERY SOON, maybe even today. I found out too that our son's province had a lot of flooding a few weeks ago. Photos of people wading in waist-deep water and such. It is so hard … the waiting.

About our approval, we received an RFE this week. *sigh* Our AW SW messed up big time, but I'm emailing her daily :) to follow-up (annoy her) to make sure she gets the addendum USC*S wants. Hopefully, it won't slow us up too much.

I'm so glad you could walk in on your prints. Our offices does not allow it. Since we just got the RFE this week, I don't know that it would have helped us much though. Hope you get that approval within the week!!!

I would love to see you in China maybe sooner than later!!! Your beach photos and Yellowstone photos are beautiful. I hope to go out West someday too! Thanks for sharing!

Now call the 800 number in two days and ask about where you are in the process, most times they put you right through and mail it that day. I have a friend who just did this.

I LOVE this picture of the kids BTW!!
