My little man

One year ago today we said yes to this face.

Over the four months that we waited to go meet him, I began to love him from afar. And as I fell in love, I tried to prepare my mind for the changes to come. I figured that I'd be the one teaching him. Little did I know all he would teach me in his early toddler days...

He has taught me that a bouquet of clover flowers is worth a crystal vase ~ if only I had the camera with me on the walk to capture the sweet smile as he presented it to me...

He has taught me to capture more of those "rolling down grassy hill moments."
He has taught me that on a hot summer day all you need is a little cool water to be happy!
He has taught me just how much room is left in my heart to love...
Thank you God for my little guy!

That last picture is breathtaking. Isn't it amazing how the more love you give, the more love you have to give ???

I can't even describe how my heart melts with that last photo. It's so hard to remember that last summer we didn't know this little boy in the same way we do now. He is one shiny little jewel in your family crown! We all adore him. Makes me wonder all the more what Darcy will bring to your lives...

And because I've been sappy enough, I'm venturing to say that we might just beat you to the hotel lobby a year from now. I'm just sayin...

Oh, and I have to give mention to that photo of him rolling down the hill! Great angle! Great capture of expression! Made me feel like he was going to roll right over me!
