We made it!

It was a long drive...

After the kids fell asleep Ian and I decided to drive as far as we could. We made it to Chillicothe, OH before it was clear that we could make it no farther. In our defense, it was a bit late ~ check out the time on the clock.

Apparently Caleb wasn't too impressed with his first hotel experience in the US.
And despite her CRAZY excitement of going to a hotel, Kylie snoozed as long as possible.

We enjoyed our free breakfast and then hit the road for our last few hours on the road. And finally we saw the sign. I don't think I've been as excited to see a state sign for some time. (Actually the kids did quite well, I'm the one that gets squirmy in the car!)
Kylie was literally squealing with excitement when we finally turned into the neighborhood and it was time to give hugs to one of her China sisters.
Hello Caroline!

Needless to say, we're having a blast! However at the moment, nap time is almost over and Cindy and I have cake balls, chicken enchiladas, and salsa chicken to make. More later...

Glad you made it. Chillicothe always seems so close and yet it's still so far. It always made me think of Grandpa Curly~I guess because he has hunted there so much. Maya is getting some exercise--my kids love throwing the ball for her. We spent time at your mom's yesterday and today. Miss you guys!

If you're making the Cake Balls from Bakerellas blog, they are amazing! I Made them for a fellowship meal tonight and everyone loved them!

Enjoy the trip!
