Two hours

Isn't it funny how sometimes, like when you are waiting for your last class to end, or in the last bit of a transatlantic flight, or waiting for a friend to arrive, or even counting down the time until you can go to bed without it being ridiculously early, two hours seems like an eternity?

And yet last Saturday the first two hours we were with Caroline and her family FLEW BY!!! It has taken me about an hour just to go through the pictures that Cindy, Ian and I took of the kids in that amount of time...

I'm sure that soon enough Cindy will have beautifully written about the beginning of our time together as two families, but I'm just going to let pictures speak for themselves!

Lunch was top priority on three little kids minds when we arrived. Mickey found a new "best buddy" when he started making Oodles of Noodles to order! (Note Caleb already has a fork in hand as he opened the package!)
"Hode on to me Taro-yine!"
A little teamwork to get one another into the fort.
"Look Ma, no hands!" My little dare-devil deciding to swing rather than slide.
Ian and Jon supervised a "firewood gathering expedition" to gather sticks for our fire pit later in the evening.
The girls proudly pulling their bounty.

I've got to invest in some of these! My kids were totally enthralled!
Who needs to be pushed when you can just twist?
The little kids weren't the only ones to enjoy a bit of "ticklefest!"
We blew ~ and popped ~ hundreds of bubbles!

Why, oh why do my kids LOVE to be tossed up in the air? Hundreds of times later, I still catch my breath when they fly, but the smiles on their faces make it worth my temporary heart failure.

We haven't even gotten to princess dress up, dinner, and the marshmallow roast yet...

Looks like tons of fun! Please don't invest in any of those Tonka toys--take the ones from my garage...

It did fly by, my friend! But we crammed a lot of fun in a couple of days! Those kids had a ball, and so did we! I am trying to get my Cincinnati post done before starting our visit. Shocking, isn't it, that I haven't gotten to it yet? It's been a rough week back to school. And I SO wanted to beat you to it! :-) Miss you already...

This was SUCH a fun post! It's just so neat to see travel buddies, who have become good friends, get together again. And just so you know, you're not the only one having heart failure with that up in the air stuff- just looking at those pictures made me GASP!!!

So nice that you all got to have a visit as far as you live from each other!! It's just so nice for the girls to keep up with each other. I love the pics of Ian and the kids -- Mike does the same thing - and it makes me gasp when he throws her that high too!

I can't believe how high Ian tossed Caleb and Kylie. What great action pictures. Glad you had such a great time.
