Please be wrong Mr. Groundhog, please!

I know that last week Mr. Groundhog predicted six more weeks of winter weather, but starting Saturday through today here in central NC that has been hard to believe. Monday it sure felt like he was wrong and that our barefoot weather is here ~ hopefully it will stay!

All three of my kids love the sandbox at the park!

Today Caleb is refusing to use his left hand at all, but I imagine it is still pretty sore from the splinter (log really) and the violent digging that the doctor did. I forgot to mention yesterday that the doctor did not numb his hand in any way before he started jabbing around with a needle. As if kids need any more reason to be scared of needles...
And then there were the shots. All seven in his legs! Poor baby pretty much refused to walk last night. He's been running a low grade fever since yesterday afternoon and has been rather clingy and whiny (out of character), but I suppose I would too! I did take advantage of his subdued self and go to the social security office today to apply for his card. Kylie was on her best behavior and Caleb sat in my lap and snuggled for the hour we waited. I think everyone in the waiting room was amazed at how well they behaved.

Amen sister -- I'm (we're) ready for spring time here too - the weather has been great!

Oh I could cry ... our warm wonderful sunny weather is to be replaced with SNOW, 6-9 inches to be exact starting tomorrow. (that mean groundhoug, ha) So we will just have to sit and look at your kiddos in the sun for the next week or so - keep posting "sunny" pictures for us! :) The kids look like they are loving the weather.

I'm right there with you- we ran errands today with NO COATS!! It was glorious! Poor little Caleb- I'm feeling for him. I felt that way when Aaron had to have blood taken and they could not get a good vein. I feel like he's looking at me like SAVE ME, MOMMY!! :(

I thought he was wrong too, so I ran over him with my van--no wait that was an oppossum. Abby said, "What was that bump?" Oopsy. Have you ever tried to describe what one of those creatures looks like to three kids? That was a bit comical. I guess I could have backed up and showed them...

I feel like I am the only person in the world who LOVES winter. No excuses to do anything but stay inside and eat comfort food. When the weather gets warm, I have to move. I don't believe in reincarnation, but if I did I would say I used to be a bear!! I enjoy a little spring weather now and again, but please be RIGHT Mr. Groundhog!!:) :)

Poor Caleb!!! I hope he's feeling better soon.

When I was reading about how Kylie reacted to Caleb at the doctors office I couldn't help but think that she loves her brother so much....RAV or not!

I LOVE the photo of all of you and Caleb looks so grown up yesterday.
