**I'm so far behind that I'm finding it difficult to dig my way out ~ heading "home" for Christmas is wonderful, but Mama is still in the computer stone ages and has no Internet connection at the house. It's tempting to just quit blogging, but honestly, I'd miss it, and I'd be sorry later that I stopped keeping a digital scrapbook of my kids, so I'll go back to where I left off... **
Christmas Eve morning ~ 9:30 am
Christmas Eve morning began with all four of us packed into my and Ian's full size bed like sardines. Kylie and Caleb both started the night in their own beds, but somewhere in the dawn hours found their way to us. Even Maya was in our room! I was awake for a while watching my family sleep and only wish I could find words to express my happiness...
When the kids finally woke up, it was time for our family's Christmas as we were headed "over the river and through the woods" to celebrate Christmas with extended family, and there is only so much room in the Highlander... Pictures tell the story better than words!
"Wish that Mommy and Daddy would give us some of these pork buns for breakfast!" Caleb seemed to find the Chinese play food familiar ~ and tempting...
"Anyone want me to slice up some veggies for you?" She cut EVERY piece of food in the basket, over and over!
"I'll take some bread!"
After opening all the food, dishes, and cooking sets, they finally got to open the "Diant big box" and man were they excited!
Perhaps Daddy's excitement was a bit less when he saw how many pieces the kitchen was in...
Even with only half of the kitchen together (we had to stop to eat, bathe, pack, and then get on the road) it was clear that it was a hit!

The wooden-cut food is such a hit around here too! Anne Marie got the same thing for Christmas - she loves her kitchen and I'm sure Caleb and Kylie will have a blast. We learned after last year w/ all the parts -- we put it together before Christmas so it's ready that morning!!
The kitchen obviously was a big hit. Santa Claus is such a nice, giving man. So happy that he was able to get to your house a day early.
Looks like an explosion with all of the kitchen pieces on the floor! A patience developer to be sure. haha

Sorry when I saw the deal at Aldi for the kitchen I never imagined it would be in a million pieces, or I wouldn't have suggested it! :) Or would I have... ;)
