"Can I get that turkey with a side of fried rice?"

...asks my son Caleb. He was totally unimpressed with Grandma's turkey (which was PERFECT) and if I'm going on the record about his Thanksgiving eating, he was pretty unimpressed with all of it. Sweet baby did try everything, but everything came back out ~ except for the gravy that he skimmed off Kylie's mashed potatoes. But boy did he get excited when we brought out the fried rice left over from our visit to The Thai House from the night before!

"Now this is what I'm talkin' about!"

Thanksgiving day itself passed rather quietly at Mama's house. Our immediate little family and my cousin Tricia (her kids were with their dad this holiday) gathered to spend the day together. We took a short walk, visited with friends that stopped by to visit, napped,
We made the kids a palate on the floor with a pile of blankets. I told Kylie how I used to do the same thing when I went to my grandma's house and she thought her "lil bed" was so cool!

played outside
Caleb enjoys being tossed just as much as Kylie and perhaps as much as Ian loves doing it! I took some really cute shots of him during this photo shoot (unfortunately while Kylie was sleeping, she slept extra long that afternoon) and will probably post some later.

ate some great food (none of which I prepared this year ~ that felt strange!), and of course Kylie turned on the charm and asked Unca Adham if they could wash Chaucer.
I'm not sure who got more wet, Kylie or the dog, but there was lots of giggling coming out of the bathroom and before it was all over, Caleb actually quit running away and decided to join in! Nothing like bonding over a soapy dog!

I have so very much that I'm thankful for this year! I'm blessed with a loving, Christ centered family, some truly remarkable friends, an amazing husband, two precious children, and a God who over saw the creation of my family! Who could ask for more?

Ok, there are so many things to say about your post. #1 - Mike and Anne Marie love the "toss in the air game". I have one picture where Mike tossed her so high she has this face where she actually looked a little scared, but then on the way down she laughed so hard!! #2 - I had those same Bambi sheets when I was a little kid!! Are they still making those?? #3 - I love Caleb's smile!! He's just a doll!

Looks like y'all had a great Thanksgiving! Looks fairly similar to mine with the exception of the dog washing! Rather cold up here though. I love and miss you all, can't wait to see you over Christmas!!!! Send my love to all.

What a beautiful family! I love how you capture them in your pictures. They all just make me smile!

We have that same high-chair! Ours is yellow though...and it has the SAME stencil on it! I bought it at an antique store about 14 yrs. ago and I always thought that someone had painted that stencil on there. Guess they came like that!? Do you know the history of that high-chair? I love ours...it doesn't have the tray, but it's the perfect height to pull up to the table...and it's nice and sturdy! Can't wait to pull Karleigh Mei up to the table in it!! :o)

Blessings,
Jenn
