The Highlander is packed to the gills and we're headed to CCC staff training for the long weekend! Each year I get a bit crazy nervous about my duties for training ~ cooking for 50 hungry college kids, three meals a day ~ but it is truly a labor of love! Our house sitter will be coming home here from work today and she has the double doggy responsibility of both Maya and Chaucer.
One cool thing about training is that it is where Ian and I met ~ 12 years ago tomorrow! ~ when we were summer staff. I still remember him walking up on the front porch of the lodge at Camp Loy White. I never believed in "love at first sight" and I won't claim that's what happened to us, but there was "friendship at first sight," and the rest I guess is history...
"Wow, 12 years! That's a long time Mommy and Daddy!"

Happy 12 years! Staff training, here we come. I'm excited to help with Kylie, in the kitchen and to meet all of the staff folks! Need Kylie at my house to water my plants. Good job, Kylie.
