Working the camera

Sunday was our day for family pictures. Not that we needed new ones or anything ~ the last ones we had professionally taken were before Adam and Traci were even dating (they've been married over two years now!). Of course I guess part of that can be blamed on Ian and I... We all hated to spend the money to have new ones done with a baby so close on the horizon ~ who knew that when they got married in September of 2005 that we still had well over a year to go?

Anyway, it was a full family affair! There was my sister and Adam, Adam's parents, Ian, Kylie & I, Ian's mom, and my mom ~ oh, and of course the two furry kids, Maya and Chaucer. We met the photographer at a local park and he spent about an hour getting all the family combos ~ with all those folks there were a lot! Then he spent about an hour chasing Kylie around with the camera. I can't wait to see what all he got because the more comfortable she got with him, the more she started hamming it up! We were blessed with lovely weather and had a nice time cheesing for the camera.

"Seriously? You are really going to make me take off this sweater?"

Uncle Adam was really trying to make Kylie smile!

"Kylie could take smiling lessons from me!"
We are blessed to have a dog as wonderful as Maya!

An out-take moment...

"Higher Daddy, higher!"
Um, yeah ~ Ian's six feet tall and his arms are fully extended...
But what can I do, she's a true adrenaline junkie! Each time he'd stop she'd sign for more!

Still working the camera, even up to bed time!

I've never commented on your blog before. My husband and I are adopting a baby girl through AWAA. We got our referral last month when the special needs group arrived! I guess I just wanted to tell you that I LOVE your blog! You have given me such hope through the past few months and you didn't even know it!! Thank you!!

Adorable pictures! Love the one of her flying high, and the jammies- seriously, she has THE cutest pajamas! :) I'm looking forward to seeing the picture that "won" for the Christmas card. :)
