Last night

Hmm, well I wouldn't say that we are off the cloud yet, but I keep remembering things that I want to share. We spent a long time on the phone last night! We were both on our cell phones and the home line kept ringing, so it was a major switch a phone around party as we both wanted to talk to Bao Zhen's grandparents, uncles, and aunts. And I'd be talking to one person and suddenly think, "Oh, I need to call (fill in the blank if you were lucky enough for me to be thinking clearly enough to call)"

So after a few hours of that, we decided to go out to dinner and celebrate. Last night it was just the two of us, but I know the big family dinner is coming... And where did we go? Umm, yeah, Soho for some yummy Chinese. And our fortune cookies had some interesting messages considering the occasion!

Ian's read, "Now is the time to call loved ones at a distance. Share your news."
(No, I'm not making that up! I think that we will frame that one!)

Mine says, "You will receive unexpected support over the next week. Accept it graciously."
(Guess they didn't know that we already have an idea how much support our friends and family already give us ~ I'm not so sure it will be unexpected...)

And then we topped it off by doing what all newly expecting parents do ~ we went to Babies-r-us to register! It seemed like a fitting ending to a WONDERFUL day. We had so much fun looking at things and wondering still what she looks like and what she will like and stuff.

Now we are just waiting for that darn FedEx truck! Our tracking number says that it should have been delivered at 10:30 ~ maybe mountain time? To take Ty's words from Extreme Makeover Home Edition, "FedEx driver, MOVE THAT TRUCK!"

What an awesome call to receive! Kristi said "Mama, we are parents".
I was alone down at church in Asbury Hall decorating the Christmas tree - I wanted to shout it to the world "I AM A GRANDMOTHER" but knew that Kristi and Ian were the priviledged ones to be able to spread the wonderful news. I actually did a "happy dance" - didn't even fall through my tears of sheer joy. The long awaited call has come and our world will ever be expanded with more love and joy!
