Finally some news...

This past month has been a haze of pre-school mornings, church activity evenings, and countless checks on the CCAA website to see how things have progressed in the "matching room". Just when you think you have a communist government function figured out, BAM, they go and change things up on you. We were going out of our minds that they hadn't updated at the end of this month when finally today we got the July update from our agency (America World Adoption Association ~ AWAA). The paragraph that jumped off my laptop screen was the following:

Referrals!

America World is pleased to announce the receipt of 12 healthy female referrals! Families receiving referrals were logged into the China Center of Adoption Affairs on July 8, 2005 (group 221). The little girls are currently located in the Guangdong and Jiangxi provinces. Please join us in congratulating these families, and in praying for them as they prepare to travel.

Finally there was some word. We are in group 227 from our agency, so we are only 6 groups away from a referral! When our paperwork was logged in last August 26, groups 202 & 203 were getting referrals, so we are continuing to move forward.

So much of me is ready to hop a plane to China, and then there are parts that say, "WOW, you are about to be a MOM!" Life is going to change drastically, we both know that, but I sure am ready for the challenge.
