Disney Days 2019 {Hollywood Studios}

8:57am and we're waiting for the bus.

We had intended to be walking down Hollywood Blvd by then, but 9:38 is a pretty respectable time I suppose.

Lighter than average crowds at the park had us heading to Rock 'n' Roller Coaster for the standby line.  We enjoyed seeing Magic Bands in action as all our names began to appear on the posters...

Most of us are adrenaline junkies.  The faster and wilder a ride, the better.

Some had been anxiously anticipating this ride since our last visit in December of 2015.  Those that were tall enough to ride (and chose to) couldn't wait for a second shot and those that had just missed the height requirement then were super excited for their first twists on an upside down roller coaster.   While the line was short it almost wasn't short enough for the thrill seekers.

But for at least one of us the line wasn't quite long enough...

poor Boo...it could be said that roller coasters simply aren't her thing...

Anxiously awaiting the next ride or just grateful to have survived it, we stopped to rock out at the stretch limo coaster before moving on.

Toy Story Land was our next place to explore.  Toy Story Mania! is probably my favorite non-coaster ride in all of Disney.  It brings out the competitive side of all of us and we come off the ride with sore arms from using our spring action shooters to try to rack up the points.

Before we headed for a spin (or two) on Alien Swirling Saucers, we grabbed a few lunch box tarts from Woody's Lunch Box.  While we all expected to love the chocolate hazelnut, the raspberry tart was a clear favorite.

Our next FastPasses found us taking off in a starship to escape the First Order with a rebel spy on board at Star Tours and then trying to decide how to spend money in Tatooine Traders.

After lunch the stand-by line for Star Tours was essentially non-existent, so we hopped back on, this time with a totally different ride.

Next was Nicholas's favorite ride of the day...he loved how he flew off the seat on the Tower of Terror.  We stood in line together, but Ky decided this one was not for her and she waited in the rider switch room for us to complete our wild elevator ride.

With all the big ticket items checked off, it was time to head back to re-ride the favorites.

Still not a favorite for one of us, but at least she was a good sport and followed what the family was doing...

Afternoon snack time.  My thing at HS is a mickey pretzel with cheese sauce.  Others had churros and more pop tarts, but give me a Mickey with cheese any day!

While strolling to do our one and only character meet and greet aside from Stitch,

our oldest discovered that they really do possess the force!

On our first trip to Disney the big girls were totally into princesses and so we met them all.  The second time Anna and Elsa as well as Cinderella, Tinkerbell and Stitch were a priority.  This time it was all about Stitch and wookies.

Chewie is a family favorite.

To balance the force, we also stopped by to see Kylo Ren.  Nat was nervous as she knew I was wearing a Han/Leia shirt.

I did toss at Kylo as we walked out that I could never forgive him for what he did to his father...

And then it was on to say hello to BB8.

As we wound down for the evening, we decided to go ahead and wait in a long line for Slinky Dog Dash.  Thankfully we still had battery power on our phones and continued playing HeadsUp.  This proved to be a GREAT way to entertain in line and we even inspired several other families to download and play...or play along with us.  There are even bonus Disney themed rounds you can play when you're in the parks.

Tired, chilled and hungry, we happily made our way back to the End Zone Food court and had dinner before falling into bed.
