Small towns in Southwest Ohio have put up flags to honor "Hometown Heroes."
Today, on the 4th of July, my grandfather...a true member of the greatest generation...would have been 101. I miss his unassuming wisdom, his passion for justice, and the way he was able to make me feel like I was all that mattered in the world when I was in his presence.
You are always in my heart Grandpa!
