headed HOME!!!

To say he's blown expectations on healing...both ours and his entire medical team...would be an understatement.
On Saturday, his first day out if the ICU on the regular cardiac inpatient floor, when his nurse asked him where he was going to walk, he got that signature grin and replied, "Home." Same answer every time since. He was determined and therefore worked hard to check off the discharge checklist goals ahead of anticipated schedule.
He was ready to walk but today we decided to take a flight instead.

Boston, you've been good to us, but there is NO PLACE LIKE HOME!!!

Yes, this is coming as a surprise to many...Mom is the only person who knows.  We figured creating a second cardiac event wouldn't be our best plan so we gave her a heads up before we got on the flight. Nicholas wanted more than anything to surprise his siblings so we are doing our best to pull off a huge coverup!
