Insightful wisdom from my second grader (while reading a kid's research book on Planet Earth)...
"So back a REALLY LONG time ago, when God created the Earth...you know, back in the 1980s..."
Unfortunately at that point I could no longer concentrate on the hypothesis of why the Earth began spinning in the first place for my giggles of realizing in her mind I was born BEFORE Earth came to be.
