Pre-dinner conversation with one of my kids last night.
child ~ "What's for dinner tonight Mommy?"
me ~ "Fish burgers"
child ~ "Which kind?"
me ~ (thinking about how in the last few weeks we've tried salmon burgers, mahi burgers and pollock burgers...will said child remember which was which by name?) "The kind we had last week."
child ~ "Oh, chicken. Great!"
me ~ (thinking, what exactly do you know about animals?) blink blink...
