In the van on the way home from school...

Child ~ "So yellow means you had a flip down [on the classroom behavior chart] but it is not so bad. Red is when you have two flip downs and the teacher calls your mom. That's bad. I liked my lunch today."
Me ~ Thinking: 'that was random' Responding: "Okay. Thanks for that information."

20 minutes later I'm checking said child's daily folder.
Yellow.
And I'm thinking ~ "That wasn't so random after all. Way to paint a brighter picture kiddo!"
