what goes up...

When we wer at the fair last year my kids watched this ride and were terrified.  Two even made me promise that I'd never make them ride it.  Ever.

But ~ you knew this was coming, didn't you? ~ this year two of them knocked my socks off by declaring it to be 'the year' to give it a go.

Thankfully cousin Jordan was willing to take one for the team.  I mean, I love a good roller coaster, but this ride is simply not my cup of tea.

Ian and I just stood in disbelief as they headed up...

...and up...

...and were caught completely off guard for when it came down.

From the initial expressions I wasn't quite sure what they thought.

And then I saw those mile wide smiles and the laughter begin.

Sure, the laughter may have been 'Holy cow I can't believe I did that!' but they were laughing all the same.

My favorite memory of two of my kids taming their fears?

My silly boy showing us, 'it went so fast that my lips were going like this!'

I have a feeling that next year will bring the upside down rides...

Oh wow! Brave little daredevils there! I wouldn't have ridden that but 2/3 of my kiddos would have. I've been so crazy busy in this time of my life but I have faithfully been stalking ...... I mean reading. So glad you are keeping the blog up because I enjoy seeing those smiles!

I love that ride! I can't do those spinning things! I love how those sweet babies weren't afraid to ride and that they loved it!

Yay for brave Darcy and Caleb. Btw that is the only ride at the fair that I really, really like! I love to have my stomach fly up to my throat!
