This morning I had the opportunity to
stand again in the largest square in the world.
From there it was on to the Forbidden
City.

I've visited twice before ~ once in
2007 and again in 2008 ~ so this time I focused on the detail work
of the complex.
From the colors
to the rooflines
to the stone carvings
to the hammered metal on doors
nearly every part of the palace had
something that deserved a second glance.
