You may recall a picture of the impressive castle our kids were involved in building on our last day at the beach. We had spent our last hours in construction with another family. As everyone else headed back to shower for dinner and start packing, my sister and I stayed behind with the boys for a few last minutes. They just couldn't bear to leave their castle behind...
As the tide advanced, they made several efforts to reinforce their fortress,
but then they saw that even such a big, strong castle wasn't going to be enough to withstand the forces of high tide rolling in.
So then they did what any 7, 5, & 3 year old boys would do when faced with such a situation.
If you can't beat the tide, you may as well join it...

Oh my remarkable grandsons. They worked so hard building the castle and then just as hard knocking it down when the tide was taking it away. They "made lemonade out of lemons"! Gotta love their attitudes.
That was a fun afternoon! Our boys are so fun! Somehow I don't have these pictures? We'll have to do a swap next time you are in town!
