Half past six.
It just sounds better than 6 1/2.
Because to hear half past six sounds more like time than the fact that my big girl is nearly 7. And why oh why does 7 seem light years older than 6 which seemed astronomically higher than 5...
Like this growing thing or not, tradition is tradition. And despite the fact that it made two nights of donuts in a row, we headed out for another sweet treat tonight.
With the grins these two have, you'd almost think they had plotted to have their birthdays side by side...
At any rate, we smiled,
got sprinkled,
and just plain enjoyed
another round of donuts.
Tonight they stood for an extra long time, wistfully watching the production line.
It will be a while until the end of February when we come back to celebrate a half past four...

Yummy! I want some donuts, too. See you soon. Love you precious grandkids.
Well well well....I knew those Krispy Kremes we ate this morning had a special taste...must have been because one of our fave families was eating them too! ;)
I love your half birthday tradition! And 2 posts in a row almost had me running out to the donut place this morning :)
Those pictures REALLY make me want a donut.
