puppy love

Heaven help me.

One of my friend's dogs recently had a litter of puppies.

Five miniature Labradoodles.

At a time when my heart is doing flip flops over how fast the first year of school went by.

And the fact that two more of my brood head off to big kid school in August.

this is willow, the one i'd pick if we were going to have a puppy
I've been finding myself almost agreeing to try to convince Daddy that we need a puppy, despite how much work they are.  Daniel and I are gonna need something to keep our mind off the fact that everyone else is in school, right?

Thankfully though, on our most recent visit, just as I was falling in puppy love and ready to give in to the pleas of my children, Java decided to remind me what having a puppy around the house would be like...

It gave me just enough time to come to my senses.  Hopefully all the puppies will find homes before I lose my mind!

ps ~ if you are in NC and want some info about these cuties, i can put you in touch with Shannon.  They haven't all found homes just yet...

If they stayed that size, I'd just have to have Willow. They are adorable.

Willow is the one I'd pick too!! We almost fell for a litter of goldendoodles right before Wyatt was born....so glad we changed our minds! Can you imagine a puppy in the midst of this chaos? But you & Daniel have tons of time on your hands soon :)

Ewen is always asking for a dog. There is noooo part of me that wants a dog. It's not that I don't like dogs; I just can't stand the constant attention and work that they take.

My daddy always used to say, "All small things are cute."

And like Grandma Shultz said...if they only stayed small!!!!!

Puppies are irresistible, but HIGH MAINTENANCE.

Those puppies are extremely cute though!!!!!

Oh I have to chime in ... we have a goldendoodle. (had a golden retriever for 11 years) and while she is smaller than I thought I would "like" and the puppy stage is ... well, tiring. She is the BEST dog we've ever had. No shedding, smart as can be and all the retriever loyalty and sweetness. And oh my word, Willow looks just like our Daisy! ;) I say ... go get her. ha!
Good luck resisting those sweet puppies.
Love following along my friend - so wish we lived closer!

Those r supposed to be great dogs. I'm pathetic, I probably would have caved. They are adorable (kids and dogs). I was thinking of your boys as I keep seeing commercials for the new "Cars Land" at Disneyland! Lots of rides relating to the movie. Sounds like something your kiddos would love. Have a great week!

They don't stay puppies for long. They are ADORABLE. How could you resist seeing Daniel holding that pup? I would love one if they would stay that size, use the toilet instead of the carpet. :)
