Earlier today my palms got a bit sweaty and my breath caught in my throat for a minute.
What had me all discombobulated?
No injuries. No emergency calls. No major crisis at the house.
I took "the twins" to kindergarten orientation.
And while the very act of dropping them off in a kindergarten room (the current kindy kids were in their specials ~ we even passed Ky in the hall on the way) made my heart skip a few beats, they happily walked in without a second glance over their shoulders. I may not feel quite ready, but they are excited.
Daniel and I are going to have a big adjustment come fall...

so exciting! I've been reading since Caleb came along and am excited for them to start this new journey AND they get to start it together!
How exciting for them, and what an adjustment for Mom! It is a really weird feeling when you reach that point of having just one at home.
I know how you feel. It has taken me months to get used to the fact my daughter will start kindergarten in the fall. She is sooooo ready and I am getting there.
Drew and I will have quite an adjustment too! We had K Registration tonight but we had a post placement visit instead - already:) I will certainly miss that girl during the day at home but she is ready to go! I bet they will be happy to go together!
What in the world are you going to do all day?
Kylie did a good job of paving the way for the next two. How exciting that they are looking forward to this big step. I can hardly wait to hear all about it next fall. But I know Mama wishes it weren't so soon!!
Love, Grandma M
Darcy and Caleb, you look so grown-up. You will love Kindergarten. I love you.
You're not going to know what to do with yourself for......just a few minutes! hehehe
Your house is about to get a whole lot quieter!! Wowza, I can't believe both of them are ready for kindergarten. Amazing!! But you're right... they DO look ready! :)
Awww... I hope you're alright in the fall! We are both excited here; we have a countdown going. 15 more weeks! He asks every day if there's a new number on the countdown.
Wow! So bittersweet!
I'll be here that first day of school, with coffee, kleenex and plenty of "Finn" cars to entertain Daniel!
