care for a cup of tea?

I knew it would happen.

If the end of the summer went by in a flash, I realized that spring break would disappear in the blink of an eye.

Of course all the fun we had may have played a role in how quickly time flew.  One day, thanks to a sweet friend who volunteered to take on the boys for a few hours, I spent a very "girlie afternoon" with two of the prettiest girls I know.

And the only thing that could possibly make their first visit to a tea house more fun?

Being joined by a dear friend and her mommy.

We chatted.  We enjoyed scones with Devonshire cream and jam.  We sampled cucumber and cream cheese sandwiches and chicken soup with rice.

And of course we sipped tea.

Lots and lots of tea out of our individual tea pots.

After nearly two hours of tea and conversation, we went to leave.  And then we discovered the dress up box.  So of course hats, gloves and bead necklaces had to be tried on.

Good thing we know where they are for next time...
