Sunday Snapshot {it's the great pumpkin!}

For the past three years we've introduced the new kiddo in our family to the NC State Fair.

M kids 2011
I'm still not sure why the prize winning pumpkin has become our choice of photo opportunity shots, but it has.

M kids 2010
 Makes me think of Linus waiting in the pumpkin patch.

M kids 2009
At least now we know why the Great Pumpkin never shows up for him ~ the Great Pumpkin is too busy headlining at the State Fair.

2008 ~ missed the fair.  Our excuse?  We were on a plane to China...

Poor Linus, but lucky us.  My kids LOVE going to see the pumpkin, its almost as big of a highlight as the rides.  And it sure does provide some fun memories!

okay, not all M kids & not THE prize winning pumpkin, but it was a cute shot of Ky and three of her "China sisters" when we met up at the fair in 2007.
I just hope that they will still humor me when they're all teenagers...

Sunday Snapshot

Don't know what Sunday Snapshot is? Stefanie, the creator, describes it as:

"Sunday Snapshot is just a way to capture that special someone or something right now, because we all know time is fleeting... right now will be a distant memory before we know it!"

Aren't state fairs great? We haven't been to ours in awhile and your pictures brought back good memories.
We have two teens, and surprisingly enough, they still like going with us to the pumpkin patch... but having their pictures taken? That's another story. ;)

Neat to see how your family has grown and how the children have changed over the years. Good luck with them posing for you in front of the pumpkin when they are teenagers! haha

I love how you are building so many neat family traditions. The memories will be so precious to the kids as they grow.

We missed our fair this year (it was cancelled due to the flood). Can't wait for next year, I'm going to eat extra food!
