nesting

Ah the joys of moving.

For six days there were two refrigerators in our kitchen ~ long story involving back orders and rentals, don't ask ~  there are no pictures on the walls, the garage is essentially our storage unit minus the furniture, and I still can't find the lid to my blender.  At some point we plan to have a massive yard sale to 'relocate' much of the stuff that we haven't seen in over two years.  But the sorting involved.

So, so much to do.  And I thought I had all the time in the world...

This week though I realized that I needed to prioritize projects in the house.  That would be because Wednesday brought the information that we were not indeed waiting for our Article 5 like I thought we still were.  There was a funny conversation between my agency contact and I as we figured out together that I had somehow missed the memo on our Article 5 already having been picked up.  Like on May 4th.  Meaning our TA is now imminent!

So Thursday and Friday I "nested" in the boys room, putting those little 2T shirts and shorts of Caleb's back into the dresser and closet.   Making sure that Daniel had a 'place' in our home that would be his own.  Now it's on to packing lists, donations to carry to New Day, gifts for officials, and travel itineraries.  The other house projects?

Back burner baby!  Cause very, very soon it will be my turn to tickle this little guy's tummy.

And preparing to get to him?

Much, much more important that pictures on walls and boxes out of the garage.

speaking of New Day...

Many of you know that Darcy's "China brother" Kevin came home from New Day with his precious family last February.

Kevin's birthday is today, and in memory of several children with complex heart conditions who didn't live to meet their forever families, his family is going to donate $3 for every comment left by midnight tonight on the following post ~  Help Us Celebrate Kevin's Birthday.

What are you waiting for?  Get on over and leave a comment!  You'll be helping sweet Roy receive the heart surgery he needs...
