Simplify

Here we are 15 days into a new year.  (Happy Birthday to the world's most fun little sister!)

One of my goals this year is to simplify things.  There are many aspects to simplification, from taking back control of our family schedule, methodically tackling one "junk drawer," closet, or cabinet a day in mini "Clean Sweep" efforts, or cleaning things up here a little.

I was ready for a new look at  Fireworks and Fireflies.  But none of the scrapbook kits I saw were quite what I was looking for.  After all, with an even number of girls and boys, we couldn't go "too girly" or "overly boyish."  I wasn't sure if the main color should be pink or blue, brown or green, yellow or orange. 

So I emailed Ashton and told her what I was looking for.  One day later I have a new look that I love.  If you're thinking about a blogover, you should check her out!  Ashton is a freshman in high school with a heart for orphans.  Last year she was working toward earning enough money to travel back to China when her parents went to adopt her little brother.  This year she is raising funds in hopes of taking a mission trip to Africa.  Her prices are very reasonable and she wants to make sure your blog looks just the way you want.  She also dabbles in photo editing (just may have to have her create a picture of our family with Daniel in it as we wait) and digital announcements, scrapbook pages, and more.
