Would be Wordless Wednesday

But I can't get the picture here.

So imagine if you will a darling picture of my son, with his face covered in cake icing at one of his friend's birthday celebrations.  (Or if you know his foster home, head to the website and look at the newest scrapbook ~ there are two pictures of him).

Just this morning I was answering our agency social worker's question of "Heard anything from immigration yet?"  I could have answered with one simple sentence, "No, not yet." but instead I gave her a novel.  Some days are easier than others in this wait.  Right now we are stuck waiting for our fingerprint appointment.  And I'm realizing that being DTC this month is looking less and less likely (without of course an act of congress or a direct miracle).  And this week I've really been missing him.  Add to that each day that passes causes me to realize that my hopes of traveling in late April or even early May are becoming more and more unrealistic.  My best guess now is June.

Sigh.

But it gave me a boost this morning as soon as I finished typing my response to our social worker to check the foster home site and see two new pictures.  Thank you God for those little snippets to hold me over until he is here and our family is complete.

Oh my. Your heart. My heart. One and the same today. Here's praying for that miracle (and/or act of Congress) that we both need (as I got even MORE discouraging news today about possible travel dates). Thankfully, today and always, He reigns.

Painful. It's just painful to wait. Even more so after we see our child's beautiful face. Not wanting them to age a day without being home with us, forever. Praying things move more quickly than expected!!

Waiting stinks!
We are waiting for USCIS approval ourselves so we can be DTC, I was hoping for this month, but now........
Maybe, even though we aren't matched yet, we could be in China at the same time? That would be fun!!!
Hugs!!

Waiting. Adoption. The two terms seem synonymous at times!
I love you!

Am praying. Know how agonizing it is to wait! You know that our God is bigger than any storm we face.
Father, let the fingerprint appt. come quickly.

No matter how many adoptions it never gets easier. As a matter of fact I think in some ways it gets harder with each one. How wonderful that he is in a great place where he is well cared for while he waits for you. I know how a mommy's heart aches during this time of waiting.

Hugs and prayers.

I totally feel for you! I so understand! With Jake's adoption, we were REALLY under the gun to get the dossier in on time. I couldn't wait for the fingerprint appt they gave me or we wouldn't have made it. So we walked in and pulled out the sob story (10 min. before closing time). Technically, Jake was on the special needs list. Yep, I pulled the special needs kiddo needs to come home quickly and I got right in with a big "Congratualtions, MOMMY!" as well. ;-)

I love the updates in the scrapbook too. My dh tells me the only way he knows to get them off the site is to do a screen capture and then edit the photo out of the page. It doesn't result in a very nice photo though. Oh, well, I'm with you - I really LOVE the updates and stalk the sites faithful morning and night. :) Love the cookie photo too. Especially the timing.
