Good news, bad news

The good news?

Daniel is going to inherit several pairs of 3T pants that have barely been worn by his older brother.  (Think jeans without worn spots or holes in the knees)  Lucky little guy!

pretty much EVERY pair of pants I had bought for Caleb for this winter.
The bad news?

Until I find some new pants for him, Caleb is making the following fashion statement.

um.  wow.  last fall/winter we rolled 24 month pants up at the bottom.  and no, they are not riding high on his waist.  his legs have grown CRAZY long all the sudden
Need a close up on that?

so long 3T!  I hate that he's not wearing socks so you get the full effect ~ you can see the top of most of his socks with many of his pants.
Where's a consignment sale when I need one?  Makes me cringe to pay more than $5 for a pair of pants for him after being spoiled by consignment prices!  Target had little boys Levi's for $19.99.  Seriously?  That's outrageous!!!

**Caleb has grown over 2 inches since August ~ apparently most of it in his legs as the shirt he's wearing is a 2T.  I'd gladly take suggestions on getting enough calcium into his rapidly growing body as he is lactose intolerant and even though lactate pills help, he has an aversion to most things dairy.**

Nothing like a visual to get your point across! :) We're not rolling up anymore, but I sure do have to cinch the waist on everything for my boy. Wish I had that problem! :) Do you not have many consignment shops where you live? I feel fortunate to have several to choose from!

WOW! Hudson is the opposite...wearing 2 T's on the bottom and 4-5 on the top....long torso.
I am sure you know green, leafy....

Don't you wish capris were in style for boys? :)

Do you have a Carter's Outlet? With coupons I pay between $5 - $7 for new jeans/pants. Happy shopping!

He is a cutie pie no matter what fashion statement he is making :) In the past, I've found the Walmart brand of jeans (Faded Glory) to be reasonably priced.

Wow... He is getting tal like his sister.. Check out childrens place and Carters I found some for around $5.00 a few weeks ago.

Call him Sprout with all that growth! Kohls usually has good sales and pants under $10. Lydia is still 2T

Is Caleb finally taller than his younger sister Darcy??

What about E*bay for clothes or church thrift stores? Lots of deals to be had. I tend to go to thrift shops in upscale neighborhoods for the best selection.

Caleb, two inches in four months is amazing! Can't call you my "little man" anymore. Will look for some 4T's for him.

Oh my goodness, that sounds like Matthew, but we are still in 3T's. I find great sales at Kohl's and the running pants at Walmart are nice and comfy and only run about 3.50 a pair! Love the visual with the pants - too funny!!!! (If Daniel needs smaller clothes, I do have lots of 24 months and 2T's!!)

That is one boy who doesn't want to be shorter than his sisters any more! Pretty soon I'll be able to send him some of my pants from last year!!! Right no, though, you would probably have to roll them up...

It was a thought :)

Wow! Huge growth spurt! Noah wears 2T bottoms and 3T/4T on top. He is 38 inches tall at age 2.5 but most of the height is in his torso! When you find out Daniel's sizes, I'd be happy to share some hand me downs.

So cute! We have 2 with lactose intolerance so I completely understand. Ours can still do yogurt, though, with no problem. They get calcium in fortified OJ and soymilk. Also tofu, spinach, and kale have a ton of calcium. I add minced kale and spinach to all kinds of things, like spaghetti sauce and even smoothies!

Hope that helps,
Lara

Wow! That's amazing that he grew so much in the legs only. Ewen did a similar thing: last year he was wearing 18 mos. pants; this year, when I got the fall clothes out, the 2T's were too short! So, now he wears 3T's pants, but only if they have the adjustable waist!

Caleb is quickly closing in the gap between he and Darcy, but she's competitive herself and has grown over two inches since she's been home. Right now they are very close in height (further bringing on the "Are they twins" question).
Sadly, the two consignment stores that I knew of in my area have closed. I need to visit family and go to Me and Mommy!
And if it weren't for the cinched waist pants, we'd be in serious trouble! 3T slid off his hiney. He's over 40 inches tall and still weighs just 34 pounds. Long and lean!

Isn't it amazing how they grow right before our eyes. Check Old Navy...they have some great prices right now.

Will had a growth spurt in the legs too this year. I hit the consignment sales but still ended up with pants too short or too big in the waist, can't win! I've been buying the Jumping Bean brand from Kohl's, usually 2 for $12 if they are on sale.

He is in 3t now or 4t? Jake is still in 4t but not for long. He is tall and thin too. Did u try goodwill? We have one close by that I don't even try to go in anymore. However, there is another one about 25 min from me that has great finds. Gymboree and childrens place give them their clothes from time to time that are brand new with tags. love it when I hit it on that day. Also, mAybe try childrens place outlet online.

If we lived closer you could SO have Quan's 4T pants!

Oh Wow! Love that look... um you mean it's not in fashion? Shhhh don't tell Garnet. He's in desparate need here as well. How can they charge so much for such a tiny piece of fabric? Does he like almonds? We do almonds and orange juice around here. It sort of tops up the yogurt and string cheese. Spinaach (if he can handle the high iron count) has a bunch too - I sometimes blend it up to hide it in things.
