Call to action

It's 9:30 pm on Thursday night as I type this.  That means that it is 4:30 am on Friday morning in Adis Ababa right now.

And you are probably thinking, "Great Kristi.  Why exactly do I care?"

Well, we have some pretty special friends that are anxiously awaiting word from that capital city.  Ian and I first met Jeremy and Deb almost exactly two years ago now at our first function with our adoption fellowship bible study.  That night they announced to the group that they had officially applied to an adoption agency to bring home a child from Nepal.  As they began the long, winding road that is international adoption, they found the situation in that country uncertain.  Around that time they began to hear God whisper that they were looking in the wrong place and switched agencies ~ and dossiers ~ to Africa.

This picture was taken just five days before they left on the adventure of their lives, the trip to meet the TWO precious children they are anxiously awaiting.  Of course on that trip they held and loved on their two little ones.  Since that time court sessions have come and gone and they are officially the parents of this little guy.

Raji Isaiah: Miracle, Salvation of the LORD
And being parents to such a darling little guy is certainly news to celebrate!

But their hearts long to have such news about their little princess.  Four court dates have been set to hear her case.  Four times either a form has been missing or the court session simply didn't happen.  They are maintaining perspective, but are also growing weary.

Jeremy and Deb have been at the airport to welcome three of us from small group home with new additions since they've started their process.  We all long to be able to be there when they bring home Raji and M.  It's time!!!

Court is back in session tomorrow.  And tomorrow is the FIFTH time that M's case is set to be heard.  Would you join with us in prayer that as we sleep tonight that court session would indeed go on?  And that Jeremy and Deb get joyous news in the morning...

[...weeping may remain for a night, but rejoicing comes in the morning.]  Psalm 30:5
